COLOR, THE BLIND

TIME: 18.15
STAGE: KLUBSCENEN

VIEW PROGRAM

Color, The Blind is a band that plays honest, living and well executed music that while having solid roots in the rural, Danish soil, stretches its branches towards a musical heritage from a different continent.
Singer and songwriter Daniel Bæk was born in Esbjerg, but grew up on a farm in Salling and this rural, Jutlandian influence leaves it’s mark on the candid lyrics.
The songs are all a product of the fertile, Jutlandian clay, but an innate longing for something bigger is barely hidden; a longing for the big highways, prairies, snowy mountains, lonely cabins and small, slumbering mining communities.
The music belongs somewhere between indie folk, country and americana. Allan Olsen, Justin Vernon, Gregory Alan Isakov and Mandolin Orange are all musical role models who Color, The Blind look to for inspiration.
Color, The Blind is made up of Daniel Bæk (singer/songwriter, guitar), Emil Overmark Jensen (pedal steel, guitar), Lasse Hansen (drums/percussion) and Frederik Skourup Søndergaard (keys).
