Kristers Dreimanis is a 22 year old trumpet player who is currently based in Aalborg, Denmark. Originally being classicaly trained for most of his life, he has studied jazz for the past 4 years in Jazeps Vitols Latvian music academy, Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg and taken masterclasses
from well known musicians like Tim Hagans, Adam Rapa, Aaron Goldberg, Charlie Porter,Sebastian Studnitzky, Darcy James Argue and many others.
Being mostly a sideman he has also played in many festivals like "Umbria Jazz", "Aarhus Jazz festival","Tuscia in Jazz", "Saulkrasti Jazz" as well as participated in projects like "IASJ" led by Dave Liebman,"NorthStar" bigband projects and others.
"KD Quintet" is a brand new project that Kristers created with a plan of capturing his musical experiences thus far as well as having the freedom of experimenting with rythm, harmonies and melodies.
