Odd Pocket is an up-and-coming jazz/fusion/modern quintet from Aarhus. The group plays adventurous original music by Jens Emil Jensen, with a goal of creating unique, inspiring and thoughtful experiences for curious listeners. The music challenges its audience with odd rhythms and time signatures, while simultaneously captivating its audience with beautiful melodies, head-nod-inducing grooves and a propulsive energy. Odd Pocket’s unique sound is strengthened by the quintet’s rare instrumentation, and all these elements flourish through dynamic improvisations and spontaneous conversations between the individual musicians.
