The Smoke Screen Orchestra is rocking the traditional Jamaican ska and rocksteady. Singer/songwriter Benjamin fronts a fiery band made up of a foully low-hitting rhythm section alongside a fierce horn section providing an authentic and danceable Jamaican experience. During the 50’s and 60’s Jamaican R&B turned to ska turned to rocksteady turned to reggae. Ska and reggae remain an ongoing global zeitgeist, carrying the promise of revolution, societal and political vindication and freedom.
